‘Make Me a Millionaire®’ Media Campaign Now Underway

SACRAMENTO – The California Lottery has launched a statewide media campaign for its much anticipated show, Make Me a Millionaire.
 
The Make Me a Millionaire TV show promotions will show up in newspapers and on radio stations, gas station terminals and mall screens throughout the state.
 
The media campaign aims to promote Make Me a Millionaire -- which debuts on January 17 – featuring a brand new format with state-of-the-art production. There are many ways to get on the show including a second-chance drawing. Any non-winning Holiday or Make Me A Millionaire Scratchers® ticket can be entered for a chance to be a contestant on Make Me a Millionaire with the possibility of winning more than $1 million.
 
Scratchers tickets included as part of the promotion are Let It Dough Doubler, Jingle Bucks, Candy Cane Crossword, and of course, Make Me a Millionaire.
 
More than 95 cents of every Lottery dollar is returned to the community in the form of contributions to education, prizes and retail commissions. The California Lottery contributes at least 34 cents of every dollar that players spend on Lottery products to public education and returns more than 50 percent of sales to players in the form of prizes. Since its inception in 1985, the Lottery has contributed nearly $21 billion to California schools out of total sales of more than $56 billion. Retailers benefit too, earning $3.6 billion in compensation since 1985.
