A Small Business and Vacations Paid for on ‘The Big Spin®’ Show

Carlos VelasquezSACRAMENTO – Carlos Velasquez of Panorama City is not a regular Scratchers player. In fact, he only bought a ticket because a friend suggested it. Thanks to his friend’s persuasiveness, Velasquez recently appeared on The Big Spin and won $75,000. Velasquez plans to possibly open a business, perhaps a restaurant or clothing store, with his prize. And as for that persuasive friend of his? “I plan to give them part of my winnings, because without their suggestion, I never would have bought the ticket in the first place.” The grand total won by all contestants on this week’s episode of The Big Spin was $227,500.

This week’s episode featured two Fantasy 5 DreaMario Cuenm Machine players. Mario Cuen from Whittier walked away with $60,000 and plans to take a family vacation. If his 5-year-old son has anything to say about it, they will go to Africa or China. Next up was Victoria Pigott from Rancho Cucamonga. She won $45,000 and says when she got her letter in the mail from the Lottery, she didn’t open it, she “tore into it.” Pigott plans to get a little closer to retirement and save for their next family vacation to the Mexican Riviera in 2010.

Ruth McKee of Chico was the one lucky contestant who beat out nine other Aces High contestants for a chance to spin the big wheel. McKee won $25,000 and plans to pay off bills and save for her grandchildren’s college funds.
