SACRAMENTO – The Daily Derby is expected to bring sunshine to California Lottery players this week due to an extraordinary jackpot. Today’s Daily Derby jackpot is at a whopping $903,000!
The last time the Daily Derby jackpot was this high was back in October 2002 when a lucky Sacramento man won $1,007,712! The average jackpot amount for Daily Derby is $305,366.
Daily Derby combines fun and excitement of horse racing with several ways to win, including the chance to win twice on a single ticket!. This unique game was the first horse racing themed game in the U.S. played on regular Lottery terminals. The game can be played at any of our 19,000 retailers by selecting three horses from a field of 12; one to finish 1st, one to finish 2nd, one to finish 3rd; and a race time.
Lottery players can pick their horses before 6:30 p.m. for the current day’s draw. The Daily Derby draw is held at approximately 6:35 p.m., at which time you can get winning information from your retailer’s terminal, or you can visit the Lottery’s website at www.calottery.com/winningnumbers/ for the results.
As the jackpots rise, the California Lottery would like to remind players that gambling should be fun. If you think that you or someone you care about might have a gambling problem, call the California Problem Gambling Help Line at 1-800-GAMBLER.
