How to claim your Hot Spot Game Prizes:

  • All winning tickets must be claimed within 180 days after the draw in which the prize was won.
  • Prizes under $600 per play may be claimed at any participating cashing retailer.
  • For winning tickets, $600 or more per play, submit the Winner Claim Form and your original ticket to the Lottery address on the form for payment. Claim forms are also available at Lottery District Offices
  • Consecutive draw Hot Spot tickets may be claimed before the last draw printed on the ticket. A Hot Spot exchange ticket will be issued with the original play selections and remaining draws printed on it.
  • Cash/claim receipts are a preliminary step in the claim process and do not create entitlement to a prize. Regardless of receipt received, a Lottery ticket is subject to validation directly by the California Lottery.
  • Your ticket is your only valid receipt and proof of eligibility for a prize. Check your ticket to ensure that the information is correct.
  • Federal and State laws, as well as Lottery rules and regulations, apply.
  • Keep copies of the Winner Claim Form, claim receipt, and front and back of your signed winning ticket. Mail the originals of all three items to:

    California Lottery

  • Your ticket, not the playslip, is your only valid receipt.
  • Check the numbers on your ticket for accuracy whenever you play a Lottery game.
  • Always use a pen to fill out playslips.
  • Always play responsibly. Lottery games are designed for the enjoyment and fun of the playing public. The Lottery would like to remind you not to spend beyond your means.
