History Repeats Itself!

On October 11, 2003, Armando Villarreal from Norwalk made California Lottery history when he became the second winner of top prize on the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” on “The Big Spin®” show. By being able to land a ball on each slot, Villarreal won $150,000.

Armando Villarreal celebrates his Fantasy 5 top prize with Big Spin hostess Maiquel Alejo."It being so close to my birthday, I was thinking, Wow! This is the greatest birthday present I have ever received,” said the bakery truck driver.

While most Dream Machine contestants stop after three or four balls, Villarreal continued because (he said) his astrology signs pointed toward a big money win. “I knew I was in a lucky period. I looked at the date, and it was excellent. It had nothing but big money written all over it. I couldn’t miss that day. I was feeling good and the astrological signs were there.”

One of the first things he will do with his winnings is get his computer repaired. “After that I will do some home improvements and buy a more dependable car,” Villarreal said.

His stars are still pointing towards a big win, Villarreal says, “I could win something big again soon. If I won a million I would probably practice astrology professionally and teach other people about it. Maybe I would get into commodities and futures on the stock market.”
