Cynthia Flores

Cynthia Flores, of La Quinta, was appointed to the State Lottery Commission by governor Schwarzenegger in 2008. Ms. Flores is an Associate Dean for California State University San Bernardino, Palm Desert Campus and is the chief operating officer for the Palm Desert Campus, assuming responsibility for the overall operation of the campus.  She is responsible for all academic and student support services delivered to the Palm Desert Campus.  Additionally, Commissioner Flores teaches an upper-division capstone course, Race and Racism, for undergraduates at the Palm Desert Campus. Prior to joining Cal State San Bernardino, Commissioner Flores served San Diego State University, Imperial Valley Campus for 22 years as an academic advisor, financial aid counselor, and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs.
