John Menchaca

John Menchaca, 49, of San Gabriel, has been appointed to the State Lottery Commission. Since 2004, he has been managing partner for Menchaca and Company and, since 1998, has been a bankruptcy trustee for the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of the U.S. Trustee. Previously, Menchaca was principal for Vasquez and Company from 1997 to 2004. He worked for Ernst and Young as senior manager from 1994 to 1997 and manager from 1990 to 1993. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Menchaca is a Democrat.
